3-Month Roadmap

A structured, milestone-based timeline designed to give interns comprehensive hands-on exposure to clinical diagnostics and special needs rehabilitation.

Month 1

Orientation, RPWD Act Studies & Observation

Get acclimated with the clinical environment and understand the core operational frameworks of the day school:

  • Study the 21 disability categories mapped under the RPWD Act, 2016.
  • Analyze historical patient files to track clinical history and progress.
  • Observe clinical setups and understand sensory-friendly layouts.
Month 2

IEP Designs & Diagnostic Shadowing

Step into drafting active interventions and assisting clinical experts with daily evaluations:

  • Assist senior educators in drafting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Log daily cognitive and motor behavior profiling indicators.
  • Observe audiometric assessments, speech therapy planning, and sensory diagnostics.
Month 3

Active Clinical Shadowing & Case Study Reports

Complete casework logs and submit clinical evidence reports for university review:

  • Shadow occupational, behavior modification, and physiotherapy sessions closely.
  • Complete detailed case histories of two children based on observation notes.
  • Receive placement certification and performance evaluation reports from the trust.

Yes, all clinical fieldwork and academic placements must be completed on-site at our day school premises in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, to secure hands-on therapeutic observation hours.

Upon successful completion, the Narayani Charitable Trust issues an official certificate detailing your completed fieldwork hours, evaluated case study, and specific developmental training exposure.

No, we do not charge any fee for academic placements. As a charitable trust providing free care to disabled children, our internships are voluntary and unpaid.

We welcome students of B.A./M.A. Clinical Psychology, B.Ed/D.Ed Special Education, Physiotherapy (BPT), Speech-Language Pathology, and general social work (BSW/MSW) or NGO management degrees.

Yes, we offer flexible durations of 3 Months, 6 Months, 9 Months, or 12 Months depending on your academic university syllabus requirement.
